Program Notes

This piece started as a short exercise for my composition lessons. My teacher suggested I try to make a whole piece from one measure of another exercise I had written. If you pay attention to the melody lines, both small fragments and some of the larger, spaced-out ideas, everything in this piece can be connected back to sometime that was introduced in the first eight measures of the piece.
